SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) photograph: what is specific to this exam
These SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) 2026 rules come from the SBI notice “Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) 2026”, page 9, last checked on 22 Oct 2026. The SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) form usually opens around August–September.
From our SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) notes
- SBI Junior Associate is one of the few bank forms where the official notice is easy to read, and the upload rules are strict. You need four files: photo, signature, left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration. Plan for about twenty minutes and one sheet of white paper.
- Write first, photograph later. On one A4 sheet, sign once near the top, put your left thumb impression in the middle, and write the declaration at the bottom. One sheet, one photo session.
- Copy the SBI declaration, not an old IBPS one. The SBI text has your Date of Birth after your name and ends with "The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine." Write it in English, in running handwriting, with black ink. No capital letters.
- Take the photo against a light wall in daylight, then crop it here to 200×230 px. Auto-fit keeps it between 20 and 50 KB.
- Download the ZIP and keep it. The live photo is taken separately in the form, by webcam or by scanning a QR code with your phone.

Upload errors and how to fix them
These are the messages the SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) portal shows. Each one has a fix.
- Error:
Photo uploaded in place of signature
- Fix: Each upload box takes only its own document. Use the file names SahiSize gives (photo.jpg, sign.jpg, thumb.jpg, decl.jpg) so you never mix them up.
- Error:
Declaration text does not match
- Fix: The SBI text includes your Date of Birth and the last line "The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine". The IBPS text has neither, so do not reuse an old IBPS declaration.
SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) photograph questions
How many copies of the photo should I keep?
SBI advises keeping about 8 copies of the same photo you upload, because it is needed again at the exam and at joining.
Does 200×230 have to be exact?
The notice calls 200×230 "preferred", but the KB range is enforced strictly. Sticking to the exact pixels avoids any surprise, which is what SahiSize does.
