Upload sizes

Upload errors and how to fix them

These are the messages the NABARD Grade A portal shows. Each one has a fix.

Error: Invalid file size
Fix: The NABARD portal checks KB before anything else. Photo must be 20–50 KB, signature 10–20 KB, thumb 20–50 KB, declaration 50–100 KB. Use Auto-fit; it lands inside the range.
Error: Please upload a valid image
Fix: Only JPG/JPEG is accepted. A PNG renamed to .jpg, a HEIC photo from an iPhone or a PDF will fail. SahiSize always saves a real JPG.
Error: Signature / Hand written declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted
Fix: This rule is in the notice itself. Re-write the signature and the declaration in normal running handwriting, then upload again.
Error: Image is unclear / smudged
Fix: Usually a dark or blurry phone photo of the paper. Retake in daylight, keep the phone parallel to the paper, and leave Clean signature/thumb on.
Error: Photo uploaded in place of signature
Fix: Each upload box takes only its own document. Use the file names SahiSize gives (photo.jpg, sign.jpg, thumb.jpg, decl.jpg) so you never mix them up.

Handwritten declaration text

Copy this text in your own handwriting, in English, on white paper. Fill in your name.

I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.

About the NABARD Grade A upload rules

NABARD Grade A (Assistant Manager) runs its application on the same IBPS-style portal used by most bank exams, so the uploads are the familiar four. The 2025 cycle opened in November, and that is when to expect the next one. Our values are checked against the official NABARD advertisement for the 2025 cycle (applications 8–30 November 2025).

The uploads

  • Photo, 200×230 px, 20–50 KB
  • Signature, 140×60 px, 10–20 KB
  • Left thumb impression, 240×240 px, 20–50 KB
  • Handwritten declaration, 800×400 px, 50–100 KB

All are JPG at 200 DPI. There is also a live photo captured in the form by webcam or by scanning a QR code.

If you also apply for RBI Grade B or IBPS SO

Officer-level candidates often apply to NABARD, RBI Grade B and IBPS SO in the same year. The photo, signature and thumb specs are the same, so keep one master set:

  1. Make the files once with a recent photo.
  2. Store the ZIP in a folder named by month.
  3. For each new form, check the photo is still recent and the declaration text matches that notice.
  4. Write a fresh declaration if the wording differs.

Writing the declaration

We show the text printed in the NABARD advertisement; it is the same wording that IBPS and RBI use. Write in English, in your own running handwriting, with black ink on white paper. Capital letters are not accepted.

Getting the thumb right

Press once on the ink pad and once, flat, on paper, with only a slight roll so the edges print and no sliding. Too much ink fills the ridges; too little leaves gaps. Clean thumb then makes the background pure white and keeps the impression sharp at 240×240 px.

If the portal still rejects a file

Look at the exact message. A KB message means re-running Auto-fit on the original picture. A message about clarity means retaking the picture of the paper in daylight, flat and without shadows. Keep a screenshot of any error; it helps if you need to contact the helpdesk.

NABARD Grade A size FAQ

What is the photo and signature size for NABARD Grade A?

Photo 200×230 pixels, 20–50 KB; signature 140×60 pixels, 10–20 KB; left thumb 240×240 pixels, 20–50 KB; handwritten declaration 800×400 pixels, 50–100 KB. All JPG.

Why does NABARD use the same sizes as IBPS?

NABARD runs its application on the same IBPS-style portal, so the photo, signature, thumb and declaration specs are identical.

What do I write in the NABARD Grade A handwritten declaration?

Copy the exact text shown on this page in English, in your own running handwriting, with black ink on white paper. Fill in your name. Do not write in capital letters and do not sign at the bottom unless the form asks.

Do I still upload a photo if NABARD Grade A captures a live photo?

Yes. You upload the scanned photo AND capture a live photo with the webcam or by scanning the QR code with your phone. Both should look like you today: same glasses, same beard.

I don't have a left thumb. What do I upload for NABARD Grade A?

Use the right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, use a finger of the left hand starting from the forefinger, and write which finger it is on the paper.

When does the next NABARD Grade A form open?

The 2025 cycle opened in November. We list these sizes from the 2025 cycle and will update them when the new notice is out.
