Upload errors and how to fix them
These are the messages the IBPS RRB PO (Officer Scale I) portal shows. Each one has a fix.
- Error:
Invalid file size
- Fix: The IBPS RRB portal checks KB before anything else. Photo must be 20–50 KB, signature 10–20 KB, thumb 20–50 KB, declaration 50–100 KB. Use Auto-fit; it lands inside the range.
- Error:
Please upload a valid image
- Fix: Only JPG/JPEG is accepted. A PNG renamed to .jpg, a HEIC photo from an iPhone or a PDF will fail. SahiSize always saves a real JPG.
- Error:
Signature / Hand written declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted
- Fix: This rule is in the notice itself. Re-write the signature and the declaration in normal running handwriting, then upload again.
- Error:
Image is unclear / smudged
- Fix: Usually a dark or blurry phone photo of the paper. Retake in daylight, keep the phone parallel to the paper, and leave Clean signature/thumb on.
- Error:
Photo uploaded in place of signature
- Fix: Each upload box takes only its own document. Use the file names SahiSize gives (photo.jpg, sign.jpg, thumb.jpg, decl.jpg) so you never mix them up.
Handwritten declaration text
Copy this text in your own handwriting, in English, on white paper. Fill in your name.
I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will submit the supporting documents as and when required.About the IBPS RRB PO (Officer Scale I) upload rules
IBPS RRB Officer Scale I is recruitment for Regional Rural Banks (Gramin Banks), not the railways. The 2026 cycle (CRP RRBs-XV) took applications from 1 to 27 September 2026 (extended from 21 September). PO and Office Assistant posts share one notification, so one set of files works for both.
Uploads
| Document | Pixels | KB |
|---|---|---|
| Photo | 200×230 | 20–50 |
| Signature | 140×60 | 10–20 |
| Left thumb | 240×240 | 20–50 |
| Declaration | 800×400 | 50–100 |
| 10th certificate (PDF, A4) | — | up to 500 |
All values are from Annexure III of the official CRP RRBs XV notice. One wording differs from IBPS PO: the RRB declaration ends “I will submit the supporting documents as and when required”, not “present”. Copy the text shown on this page.
One evening plan
- Gather your 10th certificate, a black pen, a stamp pad and two sheets of white paper.
- Sheet one: sign a few times, then press your left thumb once.
- Sheet two: write the IBPS declaration in English in running handwriting. Leave margins so the crop is easy. Applying for Office Assistant too? The declaration text is the same in both applications, so one handwritten sheet serves both; upload it in each form.
- Take the photo last, in daylight, against a light wall.
- Process everything here and download the ZIP before you start the form.
Things RRB applicants often get wrong
- Searching “RRB photo size” and getting the Railway RRB rules. Railway forms take a live photo and a 30–49 KB signature; Gramin Bank forms do not.
- Writing the declaration in Hindi or in capital letters. IBPS accepts only English in your own handwriting.
- Uploading a phone photo of the certificate as an image instead of a PDF.
If a file is refused
Read the error, find the matching row in the Pass check card, and redo only that file. Do not re-compress a file you already downloaded; start from the original photo so it stays sharp.
IBPS RRB PO (Officer Scale I) size FAQ
What is the photo and signature size for IBPS RRB PO?
Photo 200×230 pixels, 20–50 KB; signature 140×60 pixels, 10–20 KB; left thumb 240×240 pixels, 20–50 KB; handwritten declaration 800×400 pixels, 50–100 KB. All JPG.
Is RRB PO the same as Railway RRB?
No. IBPS RRB means Regional Rural Banks (Gramin Banks). Railway RRB exams like NTPC have completely different sizes and take the photo live.
What do I write in the IBPS RRB PO handwritten declaration?
Copy the exact text shown on this page in English, in your own running handwriting, with black ink on white paper. Fill in your name. Do not write in capital letters and do not sign at the bottom unless the form asks.
Do I still upload a photo if IBPS RRB PO captures a live photo?
Yes. You upload the scanned photo AND capture a live photo with the webcam or by scanning the QR code with your phone. Both should look like you today: same glasses, same beard.
I don't have a left thumb. What do I upload for IBPS RRB PO?
Use the right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, use a finger of the left hand starting from the forefinger, and write which finger it is on the paper.
Can I use the same files for RRB PO and RRB Clerk?
Yes. Both posts are in the same CRP RRBs notification with the same specs, so one set of files works for both applications.
