JEE Main class 10 certificate / marksheet: what is specific to this exam

These JEE Main 2026 rules come from the NTA notice “JEE (Main) 2026 Information Bulletin”, page 10, last checked on 22 Oct 2026. The JEE Main form usually opens around November or February.

From our JEE Main notes

• JEE Main keeps uploads short: a photo, a signature and a Class 10 PDF for everyone, plus a disability certificate and an ID proof only for some candidates. Like every NTA form, it states file sizes in KB and gives no pixel dimensions.
• Class 10 proof is mandatory. It goes up as one PDF of 50–300 KB.
• Scan or photograph the Class 10 certificate or marksheet. Add all pages here and save one PDF between 50 and 300 KB.
• PwD candidates: make the disability or UDID certificate a 50–300 KB PDF.

JEE Main class 10 certificate / marksheet compared with similar exams

• NEET UG uses the same class 10 certificate / marksheet size as JEE Main (50–300 KB · PDF), so one file passes both forms. NEET UG sizes
• CUET UG and UPSC NDA & NA do not ask for a class 10 certificate / marksheet at all; JEE Main does (50–300 KB · PDF). CUET UG sizes · UPSC NDA & NA sizes

Upload errors and how to fix them

These are the messages the JEE Main portal shows. Each one has a fix.

Error: PDF size should be between 50 kb to 300 kb

Fix: Certificates must be one PDF of 50–300 KB. A single clean page is often under 50 KB; SahiSize adds quality until it crosses the minimum.
