DSSSB (Delhi) photograph (postcard size): what is specific to this exam
These DSSSB (Delhi) 2026 rules come from secondary sources quoting “OARS online applications”, last checked on 22 Oct 2026, not yet from the DSSSB notice itself.
From our DSSSB (Delhi) notes
- DSSSB applications go through OARS, and the photo there is unlike almost any other exam: it is a postcard-size, upper-body photo, not a passport-size face. If you reuse a bank-exam photo, it will be too small in both pixels and KB.
- Photo: 480×672 px at 96 DPI, 50–300 KB. Upper body visible, with both ears and both shoulders in frame, on a light background.
- Stand a step further back than for a passport photo, against a plain light wall. Make sure your shoulders and ears are visible and hair does not cover the ears.
- Most photo rejections are a face-only crop or a file under 50 KB. For thumbs, check you did not upload the left impression in the right-thumb box.
DSSSB (Delhi) photograph (postcard size) compared with similar exams
- Unlike CTET, which wants 276×354 px · 10–100 KB · JPG, DSSSB (Delhi) wants 480×672 px · 50–300 KB · JPG. Make a separate file for each form. CTET sizes
- Unlike SSC CPO (Delhi Police & CAPF SI) and SSC CHSL, where the photo is taken live in the form, DSSSB (Delhi) wants an uploaded photo: 480×672 px · 50–300 KB · JPG. SSC CPO (Delhi Police & CAPF SI) sizes · SSC CHSL sizes
Upload errors and how to fix them
These are the messages the DSSSB (Delhi) portal shows. Each one has a fix.
- Error:
Photo size should be between 50 KB and 300 KB
- Fix: A passport-size crop is too small for DSSSB. Use a postcard-style upper-body photo at 480×672 px; Auto-fit lands it in 50–300 KB.
