These RBI Assistant 2026 rules come from the RBI notice “Recruitment for the Post of Assistant – Panel Year 2025 in Reserve Bank of India (advertisement dated 16.02.2026)”, last checked on 22 Oct 2026. The RBI Assistant form usually opens around February–March.
From our RBI Assistant notes
- RBI Assistant uses the same style of bank portal as IBPS and SBI, with the same four uploads. Our values are checked against the official RBI notice for the Panel Year 2025 recruitment (section 9.6), whose form ran from 16 February to 8 March 2026.
- You do not need a studio. A plain light wall and daylight are enough.
- Stand about an arm's length from the wall so there is no shadow behind you.
- Face a window, or put a lamp in front of you, not behind.
- Ask someone to hold the phone at your eye level. Do not use the selfie camera up close; it widens the nose and face.
RBI Assistant photograph compared with similar exams
- RBI Grade B, SBI Clerk (Junior Associate), IBPS Clerk and NABARD Grade A use the same photograph size as RBI Assistant (200×230 px · 20–50 KB · JPG), so one file passes all these forms while the photo is still recent. RBI Grade B sizes · SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) sizes · IBPS Clerk sizes · NABARD Grade A sizes
Upload errors and how to fix them
These are the messages the RBI Assistant portal shows. Each one has a fix.

Photo uploaded in place of signature
- Fix: Each upload box takes only its own document. Use the file names SahiSize gives (photo.jpg, sign.jpg, thumb.jpg, decl.jpg) so you never mix them up.
