Rules for the photograph with name and date

• Photograph with name and date 25–100 KB

  350×450 px · JPG

  • Recent colour passport-size photo, not older than 3 months; no selfies
  • Light-coloured, preferably white, background
  • Name and date printed below the face, inside the photo
  • 3.5×4.5 cm (350×450 px)
  • Name and date must appear on the photo.

  Note: Notice says 25–200 KB, portal accepts 20–100 KB — we target the safe overlap, 25–100 KB.

These MPPSC State Service 2026 rules come from secondary sources quoting “State Service Examination 2026 (Advertisement No. 29/2025, dated 31.12.2025, Appendix III)”, page 16, last checked on 22 Oct 2026, not yet from the MPPSC notice itself. The MPPSC State Service form usually opens around January–February.

• The MPPSC State Service form has two details that trip people up: the photo must carry your name and the date, and the KB limit printed in the advertisement is not the one the portal enforces.
• The advertisement allows a photo of 25–200 KB. The online portal has been reported to accept only 20–100 KB. A file that obeys one rule can break the other: 150 KB is fine for the advertisement but fails on the portal, and 22 KB passes the portal but is below the advertisement's minimum. The only range that satisfies both is 25–100 KB, and that is what SahiSize targets.
• MPPSC wants your name and the date the photo was taken shown on the photo. SahiSize prints them in black on a white strip under your face. The strip sits inside the final 350×450 pixels; it does not make the file taller. Because the strip uses the bottom of the frame, crop with a little extra room above your head so your face is not squeezed.
• Photo: recent, colour, light background. Crop, type your name and the photo date, then Auto-fit to 350×450 px within 25–100 KB.
• First check the photo is under 100 KB, not just under 200 KB. Then check the pixel size: the photo must be exactly 350×450 and the signature 350×150. These values come from a secondary guide, so if the form states something else, the form wins.

Upload errors and how to fix them

These are the messages the MPPSC State Service portal shows. Each one has a fix.

Error: Photo size must be between 20 KB and 100 KB

Fix: The MPPSC portal caps the photo at 100 KB even though the advertisement says 200 KB. SahiSize targets 25–100 KB, which passes both.

Error: Name and date not visible on photo

Fix: MPPSC wants your name and the photo date on the photo. Use the name/date strip; it stays inside 350×450 px.

Error: Invalid image dimension

Fix: Photo must be 350×450 and signature 350×150 pixels. Auto-fit outputs exactly those sizes.

Error: Only JPG files are allowed

Fix: Upload the photo and signature as JPG. SahiSize converts phone HEIC and PNG screenshots to JPG.
