NEET UG class 10 certificate: what is specific to this exam

These NEET UG 2026 rules come from the NTA notice “NEET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin”, page 21, last checked on 22 Oct 2026. The NEET UG form usually opens around February–March.

From our NEET UG notes

• NEET UG asks for more uploads than any other NTA exam: a photo, a signature, one sheet of finger and thumb prints from both hands, and several PDFs. NTA gives no pixel sizes, only KB ranges, and it does not let you correct the photo, signature or prints after you submit. So it pays to prepare everything before you open the form.
• PDFs. Class 10 certificate and address proof are needed by everyone. Category and PwD certificates only if they apply to you. Each one is a single PDF of 50–300 KB.

NEET UG class 10 certificate compared with similar exams

• JEE Main uses the same class 10 certificate size as NEET UG (50–300 KB · PDF), so one file passes both forms. JEE Main sizes
• CUET UG and UGC NET do not ask for a class 10 certificate at all; NEET UG does (50–300 KB · PDF). CUET UG sizes · UGC NET sizes

Upload errors and how to fix them

These are the messages the NEET UG portal shows. Each one has a fix.

Fix: Certificates must be one PDF of 50–300 KB. A single clean page is often under 50 KB; SahiSize adds quality until it crosses the minimum.
