Upload errors and how to fix them
These are the messages the Bihar Police Constable (CSBC) portal shows. Each one has a fix.
- Error:
File size must be between 15 KB to 25 KB
- Fix: CSBC has a narrow 15–25 KB window for all three files. Auto-fit targets the middle of that range so small changes do not push it out.
- Error:
Hindi signature uploaded in English field
- Fix: The form has two separate boxes. SahiSize names them sign_hi.jpg and sign_en.jpg so you pick the right one.
- Error:
Photograph older than 2 months
- Fix: CSBC wants a photo taken within the last two months. An old ID-card photo can lead to rejection at the PET; take a fresh one.

- Fix: Upload JPG. Even though GIF is allowed, many phones save GIFs badly; JPG is the safe choice.
About the Bihar Police Constable (CSBC) upload rules
The Bihar Police Constable form from CSBC (Advt. 01/2025) asks for three images, and all three share one narrow limit: 15–25 KB. That window is only 10 KB wide, so a file that is “about right” often is not. It is the main reason CSBC uploads fail.
What makes CSBC different
- Two signatures, not one. You upload a signature in English and a separate signature in Hindi. Each is its own file with its own upload box.
- A fresh photo. The photo must be in colour, on a white background, and not older than two months. An old ID-card photo is a risk at the physical test, where your face is compared with it.
- Black or blue ink is allowed for both signatures. Use the same pen for both so they look consistent.
Get all three files right in one sitting
- Take a new photo against a plain white wall in daylight. Keep your face and shoulders in frame.
- On one sheet of plain white paper, sign once in English and once in Hindi, with some space between them.
- Photograph the sheet flat, from straight above, with no shadow from your phone.
- In SahiSize, open the photo step and press Auto-fit. It keeps the file above the 15 KB minimum and just under 25 KB, with a safety margin at both ends, so it passes whether the portal counts 1 KB as 1000 or 1024 bytes.
- Crop the English signature for the English step, then crop the Hindi one for the Hindi step. Clean signature turns the paper pure white.
- Download the ZIP. The files are named sign_en.jpg and sign_hi.jpg, so you can match each one to the right box on the form.
If you normally sign only in English, write your name in Hindi in your own handwriting and treat it as your Hindi signature. Use that same Hindi signature at the exam and the physical test.
When does the form open?
The 2025 form ran from 18 March to 18 April 2025. CSBC constable forms have usually opened around March–April.
If the portal still rejects it
Check the KB value first; anything below 15 KB fails just like anything above 25 KB. Then check you did not swap the Hindi and English files. The notice also allows GIF, but JPG is the safer choice from a phone.
