Upload errors and how to fix them
These are the messages the REET (Rajasthan TET) portal shows. Each one has a fix.
- Error:
Invalid file size
- Fix: REET checks the KB range strictly: photo 20–50 KB, signature 20–50 KB. Auto-fit lands inside both.
- Error:
Invalid file type
- Fix: Only JPG/JPEG is accepted for photo and signature. SahiSize converts HEIC, PNG and WebP to a real JPG.
- Error:
Photo and signature are not clear
- Fix: Retake in daylight against a plain wall; for the signature use a dark pen on white paper and keep Clean signature on.
- Error:
Document size should be 50 KB to 100 KB
- Fix: The Aadhaar and marksheet images must be JPG of 50–100 KB, not PDF. A phone photo cropped to the document and Auto-fitted lands in range.
About the REET (Rajasthan TET) upload rules
REET is unusual in two ways. Its minimum file sizes are high, 20 KB for the photo and signature and 50 KB for documents, and it wants the Aadhaar card and Class 10 marksheet as JPG images, not PDFs.

Why small files fail here
Most exams worry about files that are too big. REET also rejects files that are too small. A clean signature often saves at 8–15 KB, below the 20 KB floor. SahiSize raises the quality first and adds invisible padding only if needed, so the signature looks the same but weighs 20–50 KB.
Photographing documents with a phone
- Lay the Aadhaar card or marksheet on a dark table so the edges stand out.
- Hold the phone directly above it, parallel to the table, in daylight. Avoid flash, which leaves a glare spot.
- Choose REET → Aadhaar card (or Class 10 marksheet) and crop to the paper edges.
- Auto-fit lands it at 50–100 KB with the text still readable.
Black pen, not blue
The form says “Use Black Pen only” beside the signature box. A blue signature is a simple reason for rejection, so sign again if needed.
Which cycle these sizes are from
These values come from the REET 2024 application form, the latest we could read. REET forms usually open around December–January. We will update this page when the next notice is published.
If the portal still rejects it
If the error is about size, check whether the file is under the minimum, not just over the maximum. If it is about format, the document is probably a PDF; upload the JPG made here instead.

What is the REET photo and signature size?
Photo 20–50 KB and signature 20–50 KB, both JPG. The signature must be made with a black pen.
Why does my REET signature fail at 12 KB?
REET needs at least 20 KB for the signature, higher than most exams. Auto-fit raises the quality (and adds invisible padding if needed) to reach 20–50 KB.
Do I upload Aadhaar as PDF or image for REET?
As a JPG image of 50–100 KB. The same applies to the Class 10 marksheet.
Are these the sizes for the latest REET?
They are from the REET 2024 application form, the latest one we could read. We will update this page when the next notice is out.
Can I fill REET from an e-Mitra kiosk with these files?
