UPSC NDA & NA photo ID card: what is specific to this exam
These UPSC NDA & NA 2026 rules come from secondary sources quoting “National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026 (Examination Notice No. 10/2026-NDA-II, dated 20.05.2026)”, page 2, last checked on 22 Oct 2026, not yet from the UPSC notice itself. The UPSC NDA & NA form usually opens around December or May.
From our UPSC NDA & NA notes
- Many NDA applicants are still in Class 12 and are filling a UPSC form for the first time. The uploads are the same as for the Civil Services exam, but a few things catch first-timers out.
- A school ID-card photo. The uploaded photo must be recent, in colour, on a white background, with your face filling about 75% of the frame and both ears visible. A cropped group photo or an old ID-card picture will not match your live photo.
- Create your UPSC One-Time Registration if you have not already. The photo and photo ID go in there.
- Prepare the photo ID you will name in the form. Guides describe it as a PDF of 20–200 KB; check the size and format on the form.
- If you do not have a government photo ID of your own yet, sort that out before the form opens; the ID number you enter must belong to the card you upload and carry.
